5. Joshua Ng
6. Aileen Lin
7. Kim Fay

Time started/ended: 1610hrs/1710hrs

1.1 Agenda of Meeting 2
To decide on which CSP project proposal to choose and the possible beneficiaries/sponsors.
1.2 Discussion of Meeting 2
Joshua: Suggested the group decide on choice of proposal first before moving on to discussion of potential beneficiaries.
Madeline/Michelle/Aileen: Stated they preferred Joshuas contingency plan of designing work exercises for the elderly. Would also be easier to find sponsors for this, as compared to the lightbulb idea.
Joshua: Suggested teaching the elderly eye exercises, and also videoing down the exercises ourselves for an additional personal touch. Sustainable as the elderly can continue to do these exercises even after the workshop ended, with the aid of the video.
Madeline: Cautions that the eye exercise is bad for health if done wrongly.
Michelle: The library proposal is good but the fact that NLB is doing that is a major minus factor. The NLB annual Charity Book Donation ended last month, hence there might not be enough books left for NLB to donate. Alternatively we can try to approach other organizations.
Madeline: Could try to source for secondhand book stores for donations. However as these organizations are more likely profit driven, they might not donate. It is also difficult to be certain that the children will read the books, hence more difficult to prove the sustainability factor.
Joshua: Sustainable part should come in as a tangible thing. For the values workshop proposal, we must do some hands on session and also make sure that the teachers are not already teaching things that we will be coaching them on. We need to touch up on this aspect.
Wen Yang: Collaborate with an organization on the values workshop proposal and act as facilitators to them. Asked about the size of the target audience.
Aileen: Do up the exercises for Homes as she has the list of exercises for the elderly given by physiotherapist.
Madeline, Adam, Aileen and Michelle in favor of the proposal on conducting health exercise workshop for elderlies.
Joshua: We could all chip in together for a catered buffet or goodie bags for them.
Kim: Suggests we check if a professional is required while conducting the workshop, in case we do anything wrong.
Joshua: Should check with Owen if there is a need to engage a professional.
Also suggested we call the beneficiary first to get a rough idea if theyre interested. But before that we have to be clear on what we are going to do as well as what to ask/tell them. Suggested that we should get the exercise list from Aileen. Days available to conduct project- Recess week excluding Tuesday. Most impotantly thing is to secure beneficiary first.
Kim: Asks if the elderly knows chinese
Joshua: Should use mandarin as the main language for video
Wenyang: Suggets to check if the exercises are suitable for all elderly or only for certain elderly.
Joshua: Mentioned he googled about the exercises and found quite a number of accredited health exercises- can be backup plan in the event our proposed workout does not get approved.
Kim: Reminds us to make sure that exercises can be done w/o supervision
WenYang: Nurses in the homes can supervise the elderly in exercising too.
Possible project names -
Exercise for life
Project Workout!

Project Silver- Putting the glow back to silver / Making silver giltter
